Edward L. Harrod, 59, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. formerly of Dayton, OH. and Sioux Center, died Sunday June 1. 2003

Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. at David's United Church of Christ in Kettering, Oh. Burial was in David's Cemetery.

Harrod graduated from General Motors Institute as a mechanical engineer and worked for 28 years for General Motors in Dayton, then later with Link Manufacturing in Sioux Center. He was also a member of Lion's Club in Sioux Center, IA.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Pat; two sons, Kipp Martines of Murfreesboro and John Harrod of Eden Prairie, MN; a daughter, Anna Harrod of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren; a sister, Carla Bremer of Strongsville, OH.; his parents, James and Pauline Harrod of Strongsville, OH; and a nephew.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or charity of choice.
