Dr. John Gregg, 65, of Sioux Falls, prominent eye, ear and nose specialist, died Tuesday.

Dr. Gregg suffered a severe heart attack about two years ago, but had made a remarkable recovery from his ailment and had taken up his practice again.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning in Sioux Falls.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gregg, he was born at Gladbrook, but came to Hawarden when about12. He completed his high school here. Later he graduated from the school of medicine at the University of Iowa. He took up his practice in Sioux Falls after he had completed his medical course.

He served in World War I and after his discharge he returned to Sioux Falls.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters; two sons; four sisters, Mrs. Leila Hall of Portland’ Oregon, Mrs. George Brunskill of Murdo, South Dakota, Mrs. Isabelle Hendrickson of St. Onge, South Dakota, and Mrs. Florence Hoese who resides in California, and two brothers, Roy of Montrose, South Dakota and Dan of Lancaster, California.

Dr. Gregg was a cousin of Will S., Ralph, Sr., and Warren Gregg of Hawarden.
