Died: January 7, 1992 Sioux Center, Iowa

Mike Baker, 67, of Sioux Center died unexpectedly Tues. Jan. 7, at a hospital in Sioux Center.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday Jan. 10 at First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Harry Wiedenaar officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Baker was born March 22, 1924, the son of Jake and Minnie Baker. He lived his youth and attended school in the Sioux County area. He married Wilma De Groot of Edgerton, MN. April 9, 1946, in Sioux Center. The couple lived in Sioux Center where he owned and operated a repair shop the last 26 years.

He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church, Sioux Center. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Harriet and Rodney Mouw of Longville, MN, and Mary and Rodney Music of Hull; a son and his wife, Carl and Mimi of Tokyo, Japan; a brother, Henry Baker of Sioux Center; two sisters Annabelle Rensink of Boyden and Marge Kroon of Hampton; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dan.
