Jeanette Baartman, 70, of Sioux Center died Sunday, March 22, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were at 1 p.m. Wed. at First Christian Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Carl J. Klopmpien officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Baartman was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Valley Spriings, S.D. the daughter of Art and Margriet (Baker) Vande Pol. She married William Baartman Dec. 15, 1953, in Hull. He died in 1988. She was employed with the Sioux Center hospital for 25 years. She moved to the New Homestead in Sioux Center in 1991.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church and the Bereans. She enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Gretchen and Dave Eide of Sioux Falls and Jill land Jeff Sandbulte of Sioux Center; a stepdaughter and her husband, Geneva and Larry Klingel of Bandera, TX; two sisters, Alberta and her husband Marvin Vander Wilt and Johanna Van Surksum, all of Hull; a brother and his wife, Edward and Betty Vande Pol of Pella; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
