A memorial service was Mon. at 11 a.m. at Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with the Rev. R. Van Rathbun and the Rev. Marilyn Rensink officiating. Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Bierma was born to Sebastian and Jennie (Mulder) Kuyper on Feb. 14, 1920, at their home near Alton, IA. She attended and graduated from Alton Public Schools before attending Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls. As a young woman, she worked for the Selective Service System. She adored her grandchildren and often remarked how lucky she felt to have been a part of their lives.
