Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church here at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, for Mrs. John G. Den Herder, 75, of Sioux Center, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital November 14.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerighter and burial was made in Sioux Center Community cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home.

The former Marie Vermeer was born February 11, 1895, in Sioux Center and resided in this community all her life. She was married to John G. Den Herder July 29, 1921, in Sioux Center. Her husband preceded her in death October 7, 1968.

Mrs. Den Herder was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include a son, Gerald of Hull; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerrit Vermeer of Rock Valley; and three sisters, Mrs. Gerrit (Jennie) Vande Berg and Mrs. James (Priscilla) Hollander, of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Herman (Elizabeth) Van Eldik of Rock Valley.
