Alton Democrat of July 6 1907 Matlock News

The death angel has again visited our little community and carried away one of our best young men.

Alfred Sullivan was born in Minnesota and moved to Matlock witk his parents some years ago where he has since resided. His father died some years ago and thus he was the son of a widowed mother who is left to mourn his death together with one sister and two brothers. Be was a good boy of industrious habits and died in the faith of the Catholic religion, and his corpse was escorted by a large concourse of friemds to its burial in the beautiful cemetery of Sheldon.

Father McCormick of Sanborn presided at his obsequies and kind friends presented beautiful floral tributes to his memory. We deeply sympathize with the family in their sad bereavement and extend to them a hand of help in the time of their great trouble.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruckhardt parents of Mrs. Sullivan together with two brothers and one sister attended the funeral. They returned to their home at Russell Minnesota Saturday. Mrs. Sullivan of Freeport Illinois was also here. She is a grandma of the children and mother to Mrs. P. J. Baadte and Robert and James Sullivan.

(From the Sioux County death records Alfred Sullivan born Nov 12, 1890 MN, to John Sullivan and Annie Burkhardt died Jun 23, 1907. His grand mother was Mrs. Mary Murphy Sullivan.)
