At Rest.
Maud Long, the six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Long of Sanborn, died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomas in this city at 10:00 o'clock Saturday night [April 8]. The funeral was from the home of C. W. Jacobs Monday, Rev. W. H. Anderson conducting the services.

The deceased came here last winter for a visit with her grandparents and about a month ago was stricken with dropsy of the heart. Mrs. Long came to help care for her loved one and the best medical skill was employed, but to no avail. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family in this, the darkest hour of life.

Another news note in the same issue of this newspaper says: J. D. and H. E. Long, of Sanborn, grandfather and uncle of little Maud Long, were here last Monday at the funeral of Maud.
