Andrew R. Beernink of Le Mars died Thursday, Sept. 27, 1990 at a hospital in Le Mars after an extended illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars. The Rev. Robert L. Grupp and the Rev. George McFadden will officiate. Burial will be in Le Mars Calvary Cemetery. The Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Beernink was born in rural Sioux Center, the son of John and Jennie (Roos) Beernink. He grew up and attended rural school near Sioux Center. On March 8, 1943, he married Helen Moran at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City. The couple lived in Sioux Center and Le Mars before moving to a farm in Marian Township, east of Le Mars. He farmed and was a prominent cattle feeder all of his life.

Mr. Beernink was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy McCormick of Denver; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gilmore Beernink and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Holstein and Alice Beernink.
