A. Dale Johnson Albert Dale Johnson, 77, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, December 14, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Private family services were Thursday at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. Interment will be at a later date near Paton, Iowa.

Johnson was born January 3, 1928, in Frederic, Wisconsin, to Albert and Elsie (Gunlock) Johnson. He was raised in Frederic and graduated from Frederic High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on January 28, 1946, and served during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge on November 28, 1947. After his military service he attended the Minneapolis School of Business. Shortly thereafter he began working for the G.E. Mack Co. as a salesman and later became a branch manager in Minneapolis. He also worked for Risvold's until operating his own business in Bloomington, Minnesota, and later San Diego, California.

On May 1, 1971, he married Bonnie Jean (Powell) Carr in Minneapolis. In 1994 they settled in Sioux Center. They most recently lived at Crown Pointe. He enjoyed socializing with friends at Crown Pointe and many days could be found helping out at thePencil Box in downtown Sioux Center.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years; one daughter, Diane Johnson of Chaska, Minnesota; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donley and Sherry Johnson of Cologne, Minnesota, and Brad and Mary Johnson of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sue Carr of Sioux Center; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law and brother in-law, Gene and Betty Bauer of Des Moines.
