Audrey Mae Gesink was born on February 22, 1950 in Evergreen Park, Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Arend & Jennie (Wigboldy) Lenderink. She lived her youth in Evergreen Park, Chicago, and moved to Denver, CO, when she was eight years old. She attended school at Van Dellen Christian School, and attended and graduated from Denver Christian School, and Littleton Beauty College.

She was united in marriage to David Lee Gesink of Kremmling, CO, on August 27, 1971, in Denver. They lived in Kremmling, and then moved to Denver, where they lived for ten years. They moved to Sioux Center, Iowa and lived there for nineteen years. For the past two years they lived on an acreage outside of Matlock, IA.

Audrey was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa.

She was presently working for Sanford Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa, as a cook, and previously worked at Carrie Foods at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. When she lived in Colorado, she worked as a hair stylist and continued to enjoy working on her mother's hair and her children's.

Audrey enjoyed singing and reading, especially the Family Alter Devotional. She enjoyed doing things with her family, playing games and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family was everything to her. She will be remembered as a wife, mom and grandma, who was strong, living, supportive and considerate.

She passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at her home in rural Matlock, Iowa.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, David Gesink of Matlock, IA; three daughters and sons-in-law: Melinda & Paul Zeutenhorst of Rock Valley, IA; and their children: Taylor, Trevor and Madison; Donelle & Jon Oostra of Rapid City, SD, and their children: Jordyn, Mitchell, Christopher & Sidney; Jennifer & Lance Hoekstra of Sheldon, IA, and their children: Trenton, Bryant and Logan; her mother, Jennie Zwaanstra of Idaho Falls, ID; three brothers: Arend & Wanda Lenderink of Grand Haven, MI; Howard & Joni Lenderink of Highlands Ranch, CO; Thomas & Lori Lenderink of Idaho Falls, ID; four sisters, Anna Jean & Dan Spykstra of Grand Junction, CO; Beverly & George Klomp of Idaho Falls, ID; Barbara Lenderink of Idaho Falls, ID; Bonnie & John Meyer of Ammon, ID.

She was preceded in death by her father: Arend R. Lenderink, step-father: Paul Zzaanstra; brother, Gary Lenderink.
