Elsiena Driesen, 58, of Marcus, formerly of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, June 6, 1984, in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Roger ,Bultman officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery under direction of Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Driesen, the former Elsiena Kooima, was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Rock Valley and attended Rock Valley Christian School. She married Ed Driesen Jan. 27, 1942, in Dakota City. They farmed in the Rock Valley area until 1971 when they moved to Marcus.

Survivors include her husband; eight sons, Jim of Hawarden, Sam and Ted, both of Rock Valley, Harlan of Doon, Duane of Paullina, Glenn of Quimby, Arlo of Cleghorn and Lyle at home; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Joann) Bauder of Hawarden; two brothers, Tom and Gerrit, both of Rock Valley; one sister, Mrs. Jim (Janet) Van Buchove of Plattesmouth, NE; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
