From the Alton Democrat of Jan 22, 1898: Hull News:
Myra (Ruth Almira) Steinberg daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Steinberg, died last Sunday morning at six o'clock. The little girl is mourned by the entire community and all join in extending sympathy to the bereaved parents.

From the Sioux County Bee and Rock Valley Register, January 21, 1898: Hull Happenings:
Miss Myra Steinberg, aged 13 years died at her home, Saturday night and was buried Sunday at 3 P.M. The services were held at her home. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Chase. She was an exceptionally bright child and sympathy was general in [the] community. Mr. and Mrs. Steinberg have the heartfelt sympathy of all for the loss of their loved one. Myra will be greatly missed by all, and especially at school, where no one can fill the vacant seat of this kind studious child, who was loved by one and all her schoolmates and acquaintances.

From the Cedar Falls Semi Weekly Gazette, January 25, 1898: Interesting Iowa Items:

Myra Steinberg, the 13-year-old daughter of William Steinberg, was buried at Hull Sunday. Myra was a child of remarkable literary talent, and was a regular contributor of child stories to one of the leading periodicals. Several prizes have been awarded for her productions.

Researcher Wilma J. Vande Berg found her on Ancestry.com to be the daughter of William Henry Steinberg (b. 25 May 1858 Will Co. Ill., died 6 May 1932 Marion OR) and Annie Laurie Jackson (1861-1908). Children - Ruth Almira 1885-1898, Fred 1887, George 1888, Harry 1889, Any 1893, Orrie 1895, Marion 1898, and Fannie 1903.

A Google search (7/6/2014) found a short story by her, "The Lost Banjo," in the Hull Index (April 16, 1897) under the name "Ruth A. Steinberge, age 11," originally published in Housekeeper.
