George R. Moehlmann, 90, of Chatsworth died Saturday, Jan. 7, 1984, in an Akron hospital.
Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Chatsworth. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. A prayer service, was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, in the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Active pallbearers were Calvin Robertson, Walter Westergard, Gerhard Moller, E. F. Hendricks, Dean Weyen and John Ludwigs. Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Patrick, Cy Ball, Charles Hendricks. Art De Raad, .Otto Stibrol and Warren Wasser.
Mr. Moehlmann was born November 29, 1893, in Plymouth County and lived most of his life in Chatsworth. He married Etta Grunnagle July 29,1917, at Akron. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Eileen and Mrs. Richard (Edith) Packard, both of Chatsworth; three grandchildren.
