Anna Braaks, 93, died Thursday, Nov. 24, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars after a brief illness. She had lived at Brentwood since 1978. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. John's American Lutheran Church, Le Mars. Rev. David Kramer officiated and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton.

The former Anna Dannenbring was born Jan. 12, 1890, at Ireton to August and Dorthea Walters Dannenbring. She married Carl F. Braaks Jan. 5, 1934, at Ireton. The couple farmed near Ireton and Le Mars the last 30 years. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a daughter. Mrs. Floyd (Neva) Oldham, Paola, KS; two grandsons; a brother, John Dannenbring, Anaheim, CA; and a sister, Mrs. Marry Dobbert, Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1949; a grandson; four brothers and two sisters.
