Theodore G. Richter, 82, Hawarden, died Sunday, Nov. 27,1983, in a Sioux City nursing home. Services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in St Joseph's Catholic Church in Sioux City with Father Harold V. Cooper officiating. The rosary was recited Wednesday, Nov. 30, in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City.

Richter was born January 21,1901, in Sioux City. He was a farmer and custodian for many years, retiring in 1963. He lived in the Sioux City area for many years and lived in Hawarden for the last 15 years. Mr. Richter married Nellie L. Harper April 3, 1923, in Sioux City. She died November 6, 1983, in Sioux City. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden.

Survivors include four sons, Joseph L., Parker, AZ; John E., Alcester, SD; Robert F., Sioux City; and Theodore A., Hacienda Heights, CA; one daughter, Mrs. Walter E. (Cecelia) Hood, Spokane, WA; one brother, Lawrence B., Sioux City; 23 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren
