This place was shocked Saturday to hear that Albert Jongewaard a former Boyden boy had died in the hospital at Fargo ND where he had an operation performed for appendicitis and was reported out of danger. To make it more sad his father Anthony Jongewaard was in Orange City attending the funeral of his brother. The family have the sympathy of a host of friends in their sad bereavement.

While here from Litchville ND to attend the funeral of his brother Rev. C. Jongewaard Anthony JOngewaard received a telegram announcing the death of his oldest son Albert aged twenty years. The young man was operated on for appendicitis in the hospital in Fargo ND and was recovering nicely when his father left home. But last week Friday he suddenly became worse and died that afternoon. The shock is a terrible one to all the relatives. His father left here immediately upon receipt of the message accompanied by his brother Ring and sister Mrs. Baas who had also come from Litchville to attend the funeral of their brother. Arie Bogaard who has spent the winter in Texas went there also.
