Mr. Richard Rozeboom, 84, of Sioux Center, died Thursday in Sioux Center.

Services were held Monday in the First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Dr. Peter Y. DeJong officiated. Burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mr. Rozeboom was born August 28, 1896, in Kanawha. He married Stena Deiters May 22, 1918, in Sioux Center.

He was associated with the Mouw Motors for 25 years. He later was in the insurance business and remained active until his recent hospitalization.

He is currently the President of the Mutual Telephone Company board of directors. He served as a city councilman for 23 years, served as fire chief for 25 years and was active in the First Christian Reformed Church. He had also served as head usher at the church for many years.

Survivors include the widow, Stena; one son, William of Holland, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Alex (Gertrude) Johnston of Denison, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Herman Pals of Pella; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
