Mrs. W. Vander Kooi died at her home four miles south of town, Saturday morning. The Wednesday before she had been in Hull attending a meeting of the Ladies’ aid of the First Ref. Church feeling about as well as ever; was taken sick Thursday and was gathered into the arms of her Savior and Master on Saturday.

Mrs. Vander Kooi was a woman of many fine qualities a loving mother; a dutiful and helpful wife a neighbor ever willing to assist in time of trouble and one who had the esteem and good will of all who knew her.

The funeral took place Monday afternoon and the complete filling of the church and the large procession that followed her to the cemetery was an evidence of the esteem in which she was held. The bereaved family and relative have the sincere sympathy of all in this sad hour of bereavement.

Mrs. Vander Kooi was but fifty six years seven months and 24 days of age. Besides a husband and eight children, Mrs. Vander Kooi leaves two brothers William and Oepke DeRoos and a sister Mrs. G. De Boer and three half sisters Mesdames H. Remmerde, D. Feekes and J. Mulder to mourn her loss.
