Mrs. Ellen Gray Grotenhouse, 82, former resident of Orange City, died Nov. 12 in Sun Valley Lodge Nursing Home, Sun City, Ariz. Memorial services were held Nov. 15 in Sun City.

Mrs. Grotenhouse was the former vice president of Silent Sioux Corporation in Orange City, which was located in the present site of the Rowenhorst Student Center. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, and past matron and 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Grotenhouse, daughter, Loisgail; and son, Dwight. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Gray of Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
