Twin daughters were born Sunday afternoon at the Hawarden hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Royalty, who resides a few miles northwest of town. Owing to the fact that the mother was thrown into convulsions it was necessary to bring the babies into the world by means of a caesarian operation. One of the babies lived but a few minutes after birth but the other is apparently strong and healthy. The mother is also getting along satisfactorily.

Brief funeral services for the dead baby were held at the Sumner Funeral Parlors Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.W. LaGrone, pastor of the Methodist Church, and the little form was taken to Akron and tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
