Funeral services for Mrs. Neal Den Hartog, 44, of Hospers, who died Saturday evening, July 30, as a result of injuries suffered in a two car collision North of Hospers, were at 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 1, at the home and at 1:30 P.M. at Presbyterian Church in Hospers.

Rev. Norman Flink officiated, with Mrs. Glen Hofmeyer as soloist, “In the Garden” and “A Closer Walk with Thee” with Mrs. Dean Hofmeyer as accompanist. Mr. Dick Hulst was the Organist.

Burial was in the West Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Florence (Niehaus) Den Hartog was born November 26, 1918 at Doon. She was married to Neal De Hartog January 14, 1938 at Doon.

Survivors include the widower, a son, Dennis of Orange City, four daughter’s, Mrs. Dennis Van Roekel of Sheldon and Donna, Sandra, and Mary Jo all at home, and one grandson, Ricky Van Roekel, her mother, Mrs. Charles Muldoon of Parnell, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Della Jetter of Sheldon, Mrs. Martha Ranken of Ocheyedan, and Mrs. Larene Williams and Mrs. Irene Mc Crum of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Louis Niehaus of Avoca, Iowa, Howard of Lake Park, Iowa, Floyd of Omaha and Elmer of Fairview, Minnesota.

Pallbearers were Wayne Bruyn, “Bob” J. Boersma, Dean Hofmeyer, Robert Hofmeyer, Allen Van Roekel and Stanley Hulst.
