Mr. John J. Klein passed away at the Sioux Center Community Hospital late Friday noon. He had reached the age of 54 years and two days.

On April 4, 1932, he was united in marriage to Johanna Van Roekel at Sioux Center. To this union were born four children, three of whom survive; Betty (Mrs. Dale Irwin) of White Water, Wisc; Shirley (Mrs. Ed Arbaugh) of San Antonio, TX; and Vickie Klein at home. One son died in infancy.

Mr. Klein is further survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Kate Klein, of Sioux Center, five grandchildren and the following sisters: Alice (Mrs. Hilbert Heynen), Agnes, (Mrs. Dave Sybesma), Dena (Mrs. Clarence Duistermars), and Billy (Mrs. Bert Engelsma)

John J. Klein 54, Dies Here Friday Rites Held Monday.

Funeral service were held at the Bethel Reformed church in Sheldon at 10 am Monday Sept 6, for John J. Klein 54, of Sheldon former Sioux Center resident who passed away at the Sioux Center Community Hospital late Friday afternoon.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Leestma and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery under the direction of Vande Ploeg’s Funeral home.

Mr. Klein was born Sept 1, 1911 in Sioux Center, On April 4, 1932, he was married here to Johanna Van Roekel. To this union were born four children, three of whom survive; Betty (Mrs. Dale Irwin) of White Water WI; Shirley (Mrs. Ed Arbaugh) of San Antonia TX; and Vickie Klein at home. One son died in infancy.

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Kate Klein, who resides in the local Nursing wing; four sisters; Alice (Mrs. Hilbert Heynen); Agnes (Mrs. Dave Syberma); Dena (Mrs. Clarence Duistermars); and Billy (Mrs.Gert Englesma) and five grandchildren.
