Saturday evening at 10 o'clock Cornelis Vogelaar died at the age of 76 years 2months and 7 days. At 2 years he came from the Netherlands with his family and settled at Pella. Later he came to a farm south west of Orange City. In March 1882 he was married to Martha Maria van den Berge They had five children Willem C., Cornelis Jr., Peter C., Cora (Mrs. Jake Betten) and Dena (Mrs. Aron Davis) The last three lived in Sibley. Leaves a widow , his children and 12 grand children. The funeral was Wednesday at 1 o'clock at the house and at 2 in the Ger. Kerk under the direction of Ds. H. Colenbrander.
