Alice, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Kosters, was born on May 19, 1883 at Sioux Center, IA where she attended school and lived her youth.

She was united in marriage to John Hamstra of Sioux Center on Feb. 23, 1934. Their married life was lived in Ireton and Sioux Center. Mr. Hamstra passed away in 1967.

She is survived by two step-sons, William of Merrill, IA and Clarence of Rock Springs, WY; nine step grandchildren and fifteen step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
