Mrs. Willard T. Green, 87, Sioux City, died Monday morning, Sept. 8 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church. The Revs. Richard L. and Nancy Brink Spleth officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Heaton-Rutledge-Gulsrud Funeral Chapel in charge.

Mrs. Greene, the former Mazella Bell Venard, was born Nov. 25, 1892, at Aurelia, Iowa. She moved to Ha warden as a young girl and was graduated from Hawarden High School. She married Mr. Greene in Sioux City. He died May 5, 1964 in Rochester, Minn. Mrs. Greene was a member of the First Christian Church. She was the director of the Whitfield Methodist Choir for five years and the First Christian Church Choir for 25 years. She was accompanist for many singers and singing organizations and for Fleetwood Studio. She was a member of the Sioux City Women's Club, the Threfors Bridge Club and Iota Delphian, where she served as president.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Monroe (Betty) Spear of Houston, Texas and a brother Harry Venard of LaCrosse, Wis. Those relatives from Hawarden attending the Mrs. Willard Greene funeral service were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Slife Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Slife Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Venard and, Mr. and Mrs.Paul Venard.
