Robert K. Collins, 62, of Hawarden died Wednesday, Sept. 17 in the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls after a long illness. Services were at 1 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Collins was born Jan.27, 1918 at Ireton. He married Cora M. Hout May 22, 1937 at Ireton. The couple moved to Hawarden in 1938. He was employed by L,G. Everist Co. and Scroggs Feed and Grain, retiring three years ago because of poor health. Mr. Collins was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Hawarden and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. James, (Kathleen) Schurman and Mrs. Lester (Patricia) Hamilton, both of Hawarden, and Mrs. Wayne (Darlene) Twedt of Alcester, SD; five brothers, Ben of Lewisville, Minn., Glenn of Decatur, Ala., Bruce and Conrad of-Hawarden; five sisters, Mrs. Betty Timmons of Hawarden, Mrs. Roland (Bonnie) Newberg of Alcester, Mrs. Don (Carol) Alesch of Marcus, Mrs. Lyle (Kaye) Antrim of Montrose, SD, and Mrs. Rocky (Mary) Frank of Gardena, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildre
