Mrs. Herman Holtkamp, 85, of Hawarden died Tuesday, Sept. 23 in a care center at Hawarden. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran church. Rev. Dwight Rengstorf officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. There was a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holtkamp, the former Clara Johnson, was born Sept. 28, 1894, in Sioux county, She was married Feb. 19, 1918, at Hawarden. They farmed southeast of Hawarden until 1953 when they moved into Hawarden. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Elmer of Hawarden; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Odin (Edith) Hanson of Le Mars and Emma Johnson of Pasadena, Calif.
