Mrs. Gerrit Huenink, 54, of Hawarden died Sunday, Oct. 8 in an Orange City Hospital after along illnness. Services were at 10:30 a.m, Thursday in the Christian Reformed Church at Hawarden. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Huenink, the former Leona De Bruin, was born Jan. 19, 1926, at Hawarden. She attended school in Hawarden and was a lifelong resident. She was married March 5,1948 at Hawarden. She was baptized in and was a professing member of the Hawarden Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Marjorie) Vender Esch of Hull and Mrs. Steve (Nancy) Rope of Muskegun, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Nick (Anna) Vlietstra of Edgerton, Minn.; one brother, Courtney J. of Arvada, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Shayne Vander Esch and Jason Rop.
