Mrs. Irvin Simons, 77, Hawarden, died Tuesday, Oct. 7 in a hospital at Hawarden. Services were at 11 a.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church at Hawarden. Dr. Heston Milligan officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery at Sheldon at 2:30 p.m. There was a prayer service at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden.

Mrs. Simons, the former Inez Lehman, was born April 24,1903, at Pierson. She was married Feb. 21,1924, in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Sheldon and Hawarden areas, retiring to Le Mars in 1962. She was employed by the Plymouth County Home in Le Mars, retiring in 1973., Mr. Simons died Sept. 19, 1972. She had lived at. Hillcrest Care Center for the last five years.

Survivors include two sons, Lyle of Kingsley and Eldon of Thompson; two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Blanche) Newman of Hawarden and Mrs. Ben (Beverly) Cox of Dell City, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Sellers of .Kingsley and Mrs. Sadie Conry of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Carl of Troy, Ohio; a nephew, Clyde Lehman of Sioux City, who was reared as a brother; 17 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren
