Louis Johnson, 55, of Chico, California passed away April 22. Services were held April 25 in the Brusie Funeral Home in Chico.

He was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Hudson, SD to John and Anna Lehman Johnson. He was a World War II army veteran. He married Betty Busch Sept. 8, 1945, in Hawarden, the daughter of George Busch. Johnson lived in Hudson working-in agriculture until 1967 when he moved to California and worked in the rice industry in Glenn. During the past year he has worked in ground and maintenance at Chico State University.

Besides his wife, survivors include the father, John of Chico; two sons, Danny of Houston, Texas and Douglas of Manteca; six daughters, Diane Dawson of Worthing, SD, Donna Oltmanns of Yuba City, Dawn Wheaten of Redding and Denise Williams, Debbie and Dena Johnson, all of Chico; one sister, Alberta Holub of Chico; and 13 grandchildren. Johnson's remains are buried in the Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
