Mrs. Alvin White, 90, formerly of Ireton, died Tuesday, Feb. 19 in a nursing home at Freeman, S.D. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden. Leslie Olsen and Troy Craig officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton.

Mrs. White, the former Opal Davis, was born July 27,1889 in Superior, Neb. She was married April 1, 1901, at Le Mars. Mr. White died Nov. 12, 1966. She lived in the Ireton area all her life with the exception of six years in a nursing home in Tripp, S.D. and the last year in Freeman.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ellen) Hauck of Utica, S.D., Mrs. Russell (Madge) Rankin of Council Bluffs, Mrs. L.S. (Margaret) Pitt of Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Jake (Velda)Wynia of Cokato, Minn, and Mrs. Paul (Amber) Anderson of Orange, Calif.; one son, William of Cokato; 28 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
