Henry Ramacle died at a Sioux City Hospital Monday last. He is widely know and highly respected as on of Sioux County's pioneers. Only a few days before his death he went to the hospital to have the operation performed which proved fatal. He was born at Harlingen Luxemburg in the year 1842 He came to America in 1868 and settled at Le Mars where he worked a few years in the mill.

He then came to Hospers and took up a homestead one mile south of Hospers which he still owned at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Mary Masuep in 1873 and tow daughters were born to them and two daughters were born to them both of whom live two mourn his loss.

They are Sister Bibiana of Ashton and Mrs. Louis Jungers of Hospers. Both were present at the last. The funeral was held Wednesday and was largely attended. Many were present form the nearby towns of Granville and Alton. From a distance were Henry Masuer and son of Oyens.
