Hellmuth B. Schwiesow, 75, of Hawarden, died Wednesday, August 19, in Hawarden.

Services were at 10 a.m., Monday in the Associated Church. The Rev. Heston Milligan officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Schwiesow was born July 25, 1906, in Plymouth County. He married Fern Jullerton, June 10, 1927, at Akron, Iowa. The couple moved to Hawarden in 1929.

He had been in business in Hawarden since the early 1930's and was a member of the Associated Church and was active in senior citizens activities.

Survivors include a son, Marvin of Hawarden; a nephew, Dennis Popken of Sheridan, Wyoming, whom Mr. Schwiesow raised, eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Henry of Hawarden; Elmer of Ponca, NE, and Bill of Mesa, AZ, and two sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Irene) Peterson of Sioux City and Mrs. Dave (Mildred) Banghart of Burbank, CA.
