Mrs. Les Vander Weide, the former Marjorie Taylor, was born February 12,1953, in Yukon Territory, Canada and England. She came to the United States with her family in August 1968. She attended Unity Christian High School at Orange City, Iowa and the Sioux Center Community High School. She was a part-time student at Dordt College in Sioux Center.
They were married March 13, 1970, at LeMars, Iowa. They lived in Sioux City and Sioux Center.
The couple is survived by four children, Sherri, Daniel, Douglas and Sheila, all at home. She is also survived by her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Eustace L.H. Taylor of Sioux Center; three brothers, Christopher of Bellingham, Washington, and Arthur and Stephen, both of Sioux Center; and two sisters, Jennifer Taylor, of Bellingham, Washington, and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Stuit, Sioux Center.

Leslie VanderWeide, 29, and his wife, Marjorie, 26, died Friday, Jan. 25 in a plane crash near Clare, Iowa.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Reformed Church, Sioux Center, with the Rev. W.D. Disch of the First Baptist Church, Sioux Center, officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center.
Mr. VanderWeide was born Aug. 9, 1950, at Sioux Center. He attended Sioux Center schools. Mrs. VanderWeide, the former Marjorie Taylor, was born Feb. 12, 1953; Yukon Territory, Canada. She was a part-time student at Dordt College in Sioux Center. They were married March 13, 1970, in Le Mars, Iowa. They lived in Sioux City and Sioux Center.
The couple is survived by four children, Sherri, Daniel, Douglas and Sheila, all at home. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Vander Weide of Sioux Center; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Peter Vander Wejde, Sioux Center; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary, Donovan, of Hawarden; five brothers, Ron, of Nigeria, West Africa and Larry, Arlin, Paul and David, all of Sioux Center; and one sister, Mrs. Steve (Joyce) Emmers of Hudson, S.D.
She is survived by her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Eustace L.H. Taylor, of Sioux Center; three brothers, Christopher of Bellingham, Wash., and Arthur and Stephen, both of Sioux Center; and two sisters, Jennifer Taylor, of Bellingham, Wash., and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Stuit, Sioux Center.
