Funeral services for Edward A. Boone, 71, were held Friday, March 2, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Reformed Church in Sheldon. The Revs. Kenneth Westrate and William Haak officiated with burial in the East Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Boone passed away February 28, at the Sheldon Community Memorial Hospital. The Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Sheldon was in charge of arrangements.

The son of Andrew E. and Sarah (Brink) Boone, he was born January 30, 1913 at Sibley. He married Esther Menning on Sept. 30, 1939 in Newkirk. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife Esther; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Molettiere, Omaha, Nebraska; and Mrs. Donald (Glenda) Van Otterloo, Sioux Center; three sons, Arlan, Sheldon; Loren, Freeport, IL.; and Verlyn, Holland Michigan; one brother, Sandy, Sheldon; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Aletha) Oldenkamp, Sheldon; and Mrs. William H. (Leona) Moret, Washta; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, June and Tillie.
