Peter Stellingwerf, 80, of Orange City, died Thursday in the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Mr. Stellingwerf was born May 20, 1900, in Middleburg. He married Bertha Kosters May 17, 1961, in Orange City. She died November 13, 1974.

He spent most of his life in the Orange City area. He had been employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad until retiring in 1963.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Orange City.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Nellie Postma of Sheldon, and one brother, Bert of Le Mars.
