Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Hull at 1:30 p.m. Monday July 2 for Mrs. John Statema, 48, who passed away Friday, June 29.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Nick Rozeboom and burial was made in Hull at Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Statema, nee Gertrude Sneller, was born March 21, 1914, at Hull, Ia., and grew to womanhood in that area. She was married to John Statema at Ireton April 21, 1943.

Survivors include her husband, a son, James, and daughter, Carol Ann, all of Hull.

She is survived by five brothers; Ed, Gerrit, Henry, William, and Raymond Sneller and five sisters; Dena (Mrs. Neal Van Roekel), Jennie (Mrs. Orin Franke), Bertha (Mrs. Wm. F. Cleveringa), Grace (Mrs. James De Boer) and Agnes Sneller. She is also survived by her stepmother, Mrs. Henry Sneller, of Hull.

One sister and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sneller, preceded her in death. Her father passed away May 6, 1954 and her mother died on April 25, 1942.
