Antonetta Van Tilburg, 81, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, March 31, 1987 in a hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. The Rev. John Den Hoed officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery. Family visitation was held Thursday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Van Tilburg, the former Antonetta Smit, was born May 20, 1905, in Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands. She came to the United States and Orange City area with her family at the age of three and received her schooling in Sioux County. She married Cornelious "Case" Van Tilburg February 2, 1926, in Sioux Center. The couple lived in Carmel and moved to a farm near Rock Rapids in 1944. In 1955 they retired and moved to Rock Valley. Mr. Van Tilburg died March 22, 1968. She moved to Valley Manor Nursing Home June 24, 1978.

Mrs. Van Tilburg was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church of Rock Valley.

Survivors include four sons, Floris and Emery, both of George, Thomas and Marvin, both of Rock Valley; a daughter, Mrs. John B.(Judina) Vanden Berg of Hull; a brother, John of Hull; two sisters, Mrs. John (Coba) Bouwman of Rock Rapids and Mrs. John (Cornelia) Dykhuizen of De Motte, Ind., 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
