SAM KOEDAM
Funeral services were held Friday April 11. at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley for Sam Koedam 74, of Rock Valley, who died at the Rock Valley hospital April 9 after a brief Services were conducted by the Rev. William LaMain and burial was made in Valley View cemetery.

Mr. Koedam was born February 1 1895, at Perkins. He was married to Gertie Zomer December 9, 1920 at Corsica, S. D. She died in 1965 . On October 8, 1968. he was married to Winnie Wallenberg at Rock Valley. Mr. Koedam farmed in the Corsica area for 37 years and retired to Rock Valley three years ago.

Survivors include the widow five sons, William of Rock Valley, Herman John and Andrew, of Sheldon, Sam Jr. of Hudson. S. D., and James of Corsica four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Hoogendoom and Mrs. Richard Van Onerloo both of Rock Valley; Mrs. Garrit Vonk at Ireton, and Mrs. Leonard Zoeller of Hawarden; 11 step-children; 36 grandchildren; 49 step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers John, James and Andrew, all of Rock
Valley; and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Van Kerkerix and Mrs William Van Ginkel of Rock Valley
