Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, July 8 for Christopher Thorman, 77, retired farmer of Granville, who died July 5 at the Orange City hospital.

Services were conducted by the Rev. John Schissel and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Thorman was born at Granville, September 1, 1893, and lived all his life in that community. He was married to Agnes Feller, January 22, 1923, at Granville.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Caroline) Horkey and Mrs. Robert (Marian)Schnurr, both of Granville and two grandchildren.
