Funeral services for Mr. John Willem Teunissen of Rock Valley were held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at The Netherlands Reformed Church at Rock Valley with Rev. J. Van Zweeden officiating. Burial was in the Rock Valley Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Willem Teunissen passed away Saturday morning at the Canton-Inwood hospital at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 26 days.

On February 20, 1935 he was united in marriage at Rock Valley to Helena Anna Vander Broek, who now survives as well as his six children: Cornelius, William, Elizabeth, Gilbert, Andrew, and James. Mr. Teunissen was born in The Netherlands and came to America at the age of 18 settled near Rock Valley where he spent most of his life time. He is further survived by the following brothers and sisters: Joannes of Inwood; Jake of Doon; Dirkje, Mrs. Gerrit Van Roekel of The Netherlands; Tony of LeMars; Tunis of Grandville, MI; Gerrit of The Netherlands; Henry of Hudson; Bert of Rock Valley; Wilhelmina, Mrs. Wm. Van Roekel of Doon; Cornelia, Mrs. Isaac Boon of Rock Rapids, and Gerrit John of Armour, SD.
