Henry Te Stroete, 90, of Hospers died Tuesday, October 1, at Heritage Nursing Home in Orange City.

A memorial service was at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 3, at First Reformed Church in Hospers with the Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery.

Te Stroete was born August 2, 1901, in Hospers. He lived his youth near Hospers, where he attended school. He married Harriet Vanden Berg, December 2, 1926, near Newkirk. The couple farmed near Hospers until 1964 when they retired into Hospers. She died March 3, 1987.

He was a member of First Reformed Church of Hospers.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Reekers of Hospers; a son, Gary of Sioux Center; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Raak of Orange City; and a brother, Arnold of Hospers.
