Mrs. Harriet Te Stroete, 83, of Hospers died Tuesday in the Sioux Center Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday in the First Reformed Church in Hospers. The Rev. Carl De Jong will officiate. Burial will be in the Hospers Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Hospers.

Mrs. Te Stroete, the former Harriet Vanden Berg, was born Dec. 26, 1903 in rural Newkirk. She married Henry Te Stroete, Dec. 2, 1926, in Newkirk. The couple farmed west of Hospers until 1964 when they moved to Hospers. She entered the nursing home in Sioux Center in 1979.

Mrs. Te Stroete was a member of First Reformed Church in Hospers and the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Reekers of Hospers; a son, Gary of Sioux Center; a sister, Mrs. Tracy Kastein of Hospers and five grandchildren.
