Margaret P. Theis, 87, of Hospers, died Sunday in the Floyd Valley Hospital, LeMars, after a long illness.

Services were held Wednesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hospers. The Rev. Thomas Hart officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Miss Theis was born March 11, 1900, in Hospers, the daughter of John & Barbara Theis. She was raised and educated in Hospers and was a lifelong resident.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and St. (this part is missing).

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Richard (Pauline) Harpenau of Remsen and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Ann) Kunkel of LeMars; two nephews, Merlin & Leroy Theis, both of Hospers and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Anthony (Frances) Theis of Hospers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
