Coba Van Wyk, 75, of Sanborn, Iowa died Wednesday, March 21, at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Services were Saturday, March 24, at First Reformed Church in Sanborn with Rev. Gerald Osland officiating. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, under the direction of the Sanborn Funeral Home Service.

Mrs. Van Wyk, daughter of John and Nell (Scholten) Humme, was born May 13, 1914, in Hull. She lived her youth northwest of Hull and received her education at a country school there.

On Feb. 24, 1937, she married John A. Van Wyk of Orange City at the home of her parents at Hull. Following their marriage, they lived northwest of Sheldon for two years, then moved northwest of Boyden for three years and for 34 years they farmed northwest of Sanborn. In 1977, they moved to their present home in Sanborn.

Survivors include her husband; her children; Arlan of Sheldon, Ken of Spirit Lake, Nelva Jean Kleinhesselink of Calgary, Canada, John Jr. of Sanborn, and daughter-in-law Gert (Mrs. Dennis) Van Wyk of Sheldon; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dena Humme of Hull.
