Memorial services for Joanne Starkenburg, 46, of Boyden, were held Wednesday, April 30, at 1:30 P.M. in the First Reformed Church of Boyden. Rev. Sylvester Moths officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home. Mrs. Starkenburg died April28 at the Sheldon Community Memorial Hospital.

Born Joanne Te Slaa in Hull on March 24, 1934, she married Leo Starkenburg June 3, 1955, in Hull.

Survivors include her husband, Leo, one daughter, Julie, and two sons, Leslie and Loren, all of the home; one son, Larry of Hull; her mother, Mrs. William Te Slaa of Hull; one brother, Clifford of Hull; and one daughter-in-law, Sandy of Hull.

She was preceded in death by her father and one infant brother.
