Clarence B. Streff, 75, of Alton died Sunday, September 12, in a hospital in Orange City after a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Monsignor Nicholas Ruba officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Streff was born April 25, 1912, at Alton. He was raised and educated in the Alton area. He married Phyllis Krier, February 21, 1944, at Remsen. The couple farmed near Alton until 1976 when they retired and moved into Alton.

Streff was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Rosary Society of the church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Remsen.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Mary Ann Jobe of Neosho, Missouri; Marge Schroeder of LeMars; Patti Walsh of Waukesha, Wisconsin; and Jane Horkey, Bev. Thoene and Betty Streff, all of Alton; five brothers, Vincent of LeMars; Robert of Sauk Centre, Minnesota; Clifford and Raymond, both of Slayton, Minnesota, and Francis of Alton; three sisters, Stella Frederes of Alton, Callista Frederes of Remsen and Charlene Scheitler of LeMars; and 10 grandchildren.
