Died: February 3, 1988 Orange City, Iowa

Mrs. "Min" Van Citters, 89, of Orange City passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Wilhelmina Johanna was born May 24, 1898 at Worthington, Minn., the daughter of Dick Hiemstra and Eelkje (Bakker) Hiemstra. On Feb. 14, 1918 she married Charles J. Van Citters at Orange City. For 25 years Mrs. Van Citters was employed by the Central Telephone Company, serving as chief operator in the Orange City office for much of that time. Mr. Van Citters passed away Feb. 28, 1980 at Orange City.

She was a member of the American Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include her two sons, Dr. Robert Lee of Edmonds, Washington, and David Dean of McKinney, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Van Bockel of Seneca, S.D.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Wayne and five brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, at the American Reformed Church in Orange City with Rev. Marlin Vander Wilt officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
