Magnus P. Konz, 73, of Hospers, died Saturday, March 1, at a Primghar hospital after a long illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hospers, The Rev. Thomas Hart officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Alton. Visitation was held Sunday at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen. Rosary was recited Monday at St. Anthony's Church in Hospers.

Konz was born December 20,1912, in Granville. He moved with his parents at the age of 6 to the Alton area where he was raised and educated. He married Silveria Noethe on January 23, 1940, in Alton. The couple farmed near Alton until 1946 when they moved to the Hospers area. They farmed there until retiring and moving into Hospers in January of 1977. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James and Duane, both of Hospers; three brothers, Leonard and Lester, both of Alton, and LeRoy of Anthon; three sisters, Verena Pottebaum, and Marian Kinney, both of Alton, and Rose Wolf of Salt Lake City, Utah; and 10 grandchildren.
